About Fasila K M:
I am an RCI-licensed Clinical Psychologist with B.Sc., M.A., and M.Phil. qualifications in Psychology. My clinical training has been grounded in evidence-based practice, with a particular depth in DBT and trauma-focused approaches- areas I am most passionate about. I also work with a range of therapeutic modalities including CBT, ACT, IPT, MET, BT and mindfulness-based interventions, adapting my approach to what fits each individual best.
I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults across diverse settings – including the Child Protection Department, where I supported children in navigating trauma, emotional difficulties, and complex life circumstances. This experience deepened my commitment to trauma-informed care and the importance of creating safety before anything else.
My practice draws together cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and attachment perspectives to understand each person holistically -not just their symptoms. I believe in the power of a transdiagnostic, looking beyond diagnostic labels to the core patterns that sustain distress, and working collaboratively to shift them.
In therapy, I gently facilitate the process of unlearning what no longer serves you and relearning ways of being that feel more authentic and alive. Underpinning all of this is a simple but profound belief -that change is not only possible, it is inevitable. Growth is already in motion; therapy is simply the space where we become more intentional about its direction.
I believe therapy should be one of the safest spaces a person can enter – not a place of right or wrong, but one of genuine curiosity about your experience, exactly as you live it. My aim is to hold that space with warmth, openness, and deep respect for your unique story.
I offer sessions in Malayalam and English, and can also work with clients who are more comfortable in Kannada or Hindi.
